Vista Beta II is finally released, with features that make some people yawn and others a little excited.
From my perspective, they've rearranged the OS structure, in that plenty of built-in applications and features have been tweaked to perform better and move faster. But that really remains to be seen...
Besides, they've recently published their hardware requirements for running a stable system under Windows Vista. As far as I see it, it wants more hardware than any other graphic-intensive, CPU-intensive, and memory-intensive software there is. Does this mean that we'll have to double the hardware capability to be able to keep up with the OS just because of its new features?
So far, the real visual changes I saw are the Aero engine, which is capable of rendering the interface into 3D as well as giving transparency to windows, and some new color schemes.
Also, the start menu is no longer a bunch of popping menus - the menus "unfold" inside of the start menu itself to reveal the tree contents of the list.
What do you guys think about this?
